International Workshop on Accelerated Testing in Fuel Cells
enhancing development cycles in fuel cell technology
Objectives and Scope
Based on the results of the degradation workshop held in Crete 2007, this workshop aims at gathering researchers and developers from industry and academia to:
- Pointing out the most relevant ageing mechanisms relevant for fuel cells.
- Quantifying the influence of selected ageing mechanisms e.g. by thermodynamic and kinetic models.
- Discussing accelerated testing protocols.
- Identifying experimental methods, procedures, testing equipment, modelling, and data analysis approaches to accelerate individual ageing mechanisms.
- Enabling the audience to fully understand the accelerating effects of operating conditions to degradation phenomena.
- Supporting industry in product qualification.
- Supporting Standard developing organizations and certification bodies.
- Identifying future activities for harmonizing fuel cell degradation testing procedures.
The symposium will thus provide for enhanced insight into fuel cell degradation issues and how to counteract these to ensure longer and more reliable fuel cell lifetime.
The workshop will cover issues related to PEFC, MCFC, and SOFC:
